Acceptable Use Policy

How you may use the AXI Business Diagnostic.

The short version

Before the detail below, here is what matters in six points.

  1. You can use the Business Diagnostic internally within your organisation. You can share it with your directors, employees, accountant, lawyer, board and named professional advisors under equivalent confidentiality.
  2. You cannot resell, redistribute or republish the Business Diagnostic externally. You cannot use it as input to train, fine-tune or evaluate any AI model. You cannot reverse-engineer the methodology, prompts or framework.
  3. If you want to do something that sits outside the licence (quote a finding publicly, share with a third party, license the methodology), talk to us. Reasonable requests are accommodated.
  4. The Business Diagnostic is a strategic diagnostic. It is not regulated financial, legal, tax or investment advice. If you operate in a regulated sector, compliance review remains your responsibility.
  5. The Business Diagnostic is produced with the assistance of Anthropic's Claude API and reviewed by a member of our team before delivery. Anthropic does not train its models on your data and retains API logs for seven days only.
  6. Material breach of this Policy may result in termination of the engagement, requirement to delete copies and pursuit of IP or contract remedies. We will normally contact you first and give you a chance to put it right.

Any question on use rights, email axi@axiomaiinsights.co.uk and we will get back to you.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to the AXI Business Diagnostic, the AI Governance Register and to your use of our Website. It sets out what you can do with what we give you, what you cannot, what to do if you want to do something that sits outside the licence and the consequences of getting it wrong.

This AUP forms part of our Terms of Sale by reference.

1. Who this applies to

This AUP applies to:

a) Anyone who receives a Business Diagnostic from us (a "Buyer", in the language of our Terms of Sale).

b) Anyone who uses our Website axiomaiinsights.co.uk and its subdomains.

d) Anyone who purchases or uses an AI Governance Register from us (also a "Buyer", in the language of our Terms of Sale).

You may:

a) Read, store and use the Business Diagnostic internally within your organisation for the purposes of informing your own business decisions.

f) The AI Governance Register. Use the Register for the internal business purposes of your organisation, share it internally with your directors, employees and named professional advisors under equivalent confidentiality, and keep a copy for your records.

3. What you cannot do

You may not:

a) Resell or redistribute. Resell, redistribute or publish the Business Diagnostic, in whole or in part, to any third party outside your organisation.

b) Publish externally. Republish the Business Diagnostic, or substantive content from it, on social media, in publications, on websites, in podcasts, in commercial training material or in any public forum, without our written permission.

c) Use as AI training input. Use the Business Diagnostic, or any Axiom material covered by clause 1, as input to train, fine-tune, evaluate or build any machine-learning or artificial-intelligence model, dataset or service.

d) Reverse-engineer. Attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, derive or reconstruct the Business Diagnostic methodology, prompts, framework, template or production process from the materials we share with you.

e) Strip our markings. Remove or alter the copyright footer, AI disclosure, accuracy disclaimer, footnote citations or version markings from any copy of the Business Diagnostic.

f) Provide competing diagnostic services. Use the Business Diagnostic content, or the underlying methodology disclosed to you in the course of an Order, to provide competing diagnostic, advisory or consulting services to third parties.

g) Misuse our Website. Use the Website for any unlawful purpose; scrape, harvest or systematically download content; attempt to disrupt or interfere with service availability; impersonate Axiom AI Insights, our team or our affiliates; transmit viruses, worms or other harmful code; or breach any applicable law or regulation.

For the AI Governance Register specifically, you may not:

h) Resell, redistribute, share externally or publish the Register or any substantial part of it.

i) Remove or alter the licence stamp, the order reference or any markings on it.

j) Use the Register, or data from it, to train, fine-tune or evaluate any AI model.

k) Reverse-engineer or copy the template structure, formulas or dashboard to build a competing product.

4. What you can do instead

Where you want to do something that sits outside the licence in clause 2, talk to us. Reasonable requests are accommodated.

Examples of things we are usually happy to discuss:

a) Quoting a paragraph in an investor pack or board paper outside your direct circle, with attribution.

b) Sharing the report with a specific named third-party advisor not listed in clause 2(b), with their confidentiality undertaking in place.

c) Using a finding from the report as the basis for a public communication you are making (a blog post, a press release, a conference talk), with attribution and our editorial sight beforehand.

d) Licensing the diagnostic methodology - where you want to embed our framework (the five sections, the prioritisation approach, the action-planning method) inside your own organisation to apply it across multiple business units or on a repeated cycle, talk to us about a licence arrangement.

Contact us at axi@axiomaiinsights.co.uk with a short description of what you want to do and why.

5. The nature of the Business Diagnostic

The Business Diagnostic is a strategic diagnostic with prioritised recommendations. It is not regulated financial advice, legal advice, tax advice, investment advice, loan eligibility assessment or creditworthiness opinion.

Where you operate in a regulated sector (financial services, healthcare, legal services, education, regulated utilities or any other sector with sector-specific compliance requirements), you are responsible for any compliance review required before acting on a recommendation.

You remain responsible for your own business decisions. Where you act on a recommendation in the Business Diagnostic, you do so on your own judgment and with such professional advice as you consider appropriate.

6. AI disclosure

The Business Diagnostic is produced with the assistance of artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude API) and reviewed by a member of our team before Delivery. We use AI to help structure the analysis based on the information you provide at Intake Form; we are responsible for the framework, the quality controls and the published report.

Anthropic does not train its models on your data. Anthropic retains API logs for seven days and then deletes them.

Our wider handling of your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

7. Confidentiality

The Business Diagnostic is treated as confidential between you and us, subject to the use rights in clauses 2 and 4. We do not share the contents of your Business Diagnostic with third parties except: (a) processors we engage to deliver the Services (including Anthropic, as set out in our Privacy Policy); (b) where required by law or regulation; (c) for our own internal quality-assurance and product-iteration purposes (logged and never linked back to you outside our internal team).

8. Consequences of breach

A material breach of this AUP may result in any of the following:

a) Termination of the engagement.

b) Requirement to delete all copies of the Business Diagnostic in your possession or control.

c) Withdrawal of our consent to your continued use of the Website.

d) Pursuit of remedies in respect of intellectual property infringement, breach of contract or any other legal claim.

Before taking any of these steps in response to a breach we believe is inadvertent, we will ordinarily contact you first and give you a reasonable opportunity to put it right. Where we believe a breach is deliberate, or where damage is being done by ongoing breach, we may act without prior contact.

9. Updates to this AUP

We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in how we operate or in the law. The version in force at the time you receive the Business Diagnostic, or at the time you use the Website, is the version that applies to you.

10. Governing law

This AUP is governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising under or in connection with this AUP, save that we may bring proceedings against you in any jurisdiction in which you are domiciled to enforce our intellectual property rights.

11. Contact

For any question about this AUP, including a request to do something outside the licence in clause 2, contact us at axi@axiomaiinsights.co.uk.
